The Kathleen Jamie event trailed in yesterday’s blog has now moved to Tuesday 18th April. If anyone saw my offer of a lift from Blackpool can disregard that, as I unfortunately can’t make the rescheduled date…
Tickets are now on sale for the Mark Cocker event on 22nd June, where he will be in conversation with Karen Lloyd including discussion of his new book ‘One Midsummers Day’. You can see my review of that book here:

And you can book tickets for the June event here:

Before that a new event has been announced on 4th May. This countable discussion on the Environment and the Arts will include leading thinkers from the worlds of literature and the arts. Participants include author and naturalist Julian Hoffman, animal rights campaigner and author Jane Smith and farmer and author Patrick Laurie.
Booking details for this event are at:

All events are at The Story, an excellent arts venue on Meeting House Lane, starting at 7pm. Tickets for all events are free for students and the unwaged, £7 for others.
Unfortunately I’m out of the country for the May event, but if anyone from the Blackpool area wants a lift to Karen Lloyd and Mark Cocker in conversation let me know.
